What is a NABOR Ombudsman & How Can I Become One?

In short, A NABOR Ombudsman is a REALTOR volunteer who acts impartially and informally in an effort to attempt to resolve potential real estate related issues between REALTORS and REALTORS or potential real estate related issues between members of the public and REALTORS. 

Any  REALTOR who is a member of NABOR and who may be interested in learning more about the duties and characteristics of becoming an Ombudsman are strongly encouraged to come to this session to learn more about NABOR's Ombudsman Program. In addition, you should have a minimum of 3 years experience in the Professional Standards process of the National Association of REALTORS, be familiar with Florida's real estate license law, and be impartial and maintain confidentiality.

What is a NABOR Mediator & How Can I Become One?

In short, A NABOR Mediator is a REALTOR volunteer who will work with disputants (usually REALTOR Principals) in an effort to resolve procuring cause or other real estate-related contractual (or specific non-contractual issues as defined in Article 17, Standard of Practice 17-4 of the REALTOR Code) issues.

Any REALTOR who is a member of NABOR and who may be interested in learning more about the duties and characteristics of becoming a Mediator are strongly encouraged to come to this session to learn more about NABOR's Mediator qualifications and requirements. In addition, you should have a Broker's license and have served a minimum of 3 years on a Professional Standards or Grievance Committee or are a State of Florida certified mediator.
